Soundbooth Friday: A day in the life of a resident

I decided to spice things up a bit this week and share some cool videos I found profiling a medical resident from KELOLAND TV in South Dakota. Over a three-part series, the reporter followed first-year resident, Nate Miller, MD as he described what life as a resident is like.

With all the scrutiny from the media over duty hours lately, I thought you may enjoy seeing a resident getting some positive press!

As the Program Coordinator for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Sanford School of Medicine of the University of South Dakota, I would like to say a heartfelt “Thank You” for posting these videos with others outside of the local area. I have started to read these blogs faithfully each week when they arrive and was pleasantly surprised today when I found these. We are so proud of Dr. Miller and all of the Internal Medicine Residents in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The residency has made some wonderful strides in the past 5 years due to the strong committment and vision of the recently retired Program Director and the new Program Director and the dedication of the core faculty members. It has been an exciting time for me to be the Program Coordinator during this time.
