Do you mean a division Handbook/housestaff manual? or a cheat sheet?
We asked our sr residents to produce something for the jr residents. So far, nothing has happened.
As for a housestaff manual, my answer is YES, they receive it in orientation.
We do an intern survival guide each year. (not from scratch, but the rising chiefs update last year’s copies) It has all the need to know information…nitty gritty stuff. It fits in their pockets, we hand them out at orientation. I also print extras for off service residents and clerkship students. They love it.
Additionally we have the handbook, but i have to say, the information in the handbook is more static and is “stuff” that they only need to know when they really need to know it, so it isn’t as useful as the survival guide.
