By: June 13th, 2011 Email This Post Print This Post

The CDC reports a 42.8% influenza vaccination rate in the U.S. for persons aged 6 months to 64 years. Healthy People 2020 has set 80% as the target for the same group of people. By 2020, will the U.S. meet the CDC’s Healthy People influenza vaccination rate target of 80% for ages 6 months to 64 years?

Take our OSHA Healthcare Advisor Weekly Poll and let us know.

My entire family and I suffered two weeks of miser in 1967 with the Hong Kong strain of influenza. I NEVER want to repeat that experience and strongly urge everyone to get the annual seasonal flu vaccine. It has nothjing to do with personal rights but rather personal responsibility and helping with maintaining the health of the public, especially our patients.

The first sentence should read “…two weeks of MISERY”
