The Joint Commission issues flu vaccination challenge

The accreditation organization is again issuing a Flu Vaccination Challenge (FVC) to healthcare facilities to raise vaccination rates among healthcare workers to medal-wining results:

  • Bronze 75%
  • Silver 85%
  • Gold 95%

During the last flu season, FVC participants averaged an immunization rate of 76%, which was 13% more than the previous year and 27% above the national healthcare workers flu vaccination average, according the FVC Web page.
