Rock Your Health: When comfort becomes uncomfortable

This may seem like an unusual question to ask nurse managers and nurse leaders, but it’s one that is worth thinking about. Is your job too comfortable? Is it not stimulating enough? Are you stuck in a rut?

Being in your comfort zone is comfortable, but it may not be the best place for you. If your goal is to have a more joyful existence, then take some risks. Get uncomfortable for a while. Practicing new behaviors feels awkward at first, but through repetition it gets easier to do.

Use the steps below to create three action steps that you are willing to take to move forward in your job and in your life.
