Despite industry concerns, genetic testing kits hit the market

On May 14, the first major U.S. retail chain will begin selling genetic testing kits. Insight personal genetic testing kits, manufactured by Pathway Genomics, aim to assess an individual’s risk of developing a number of health conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and obesity, by screening for genetic markers.
