CMS released MDS 3.0 Provider User’s Guide
CMS recently released the Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (QIES) Assessment Submission and Processing (ASAP) System MDS 3.0 Provider User’s Guide.
This guide provides information and instructions pertaining to the QIES ASAP MDS 3.0 system to long-term care and swing bed users who are required to submit assessment data about their residents. It is intended to be used as a reference and learning tool for the MDS 3.0 system. You can find a copy of the MDS 3.0 Provider User’s Guide on our Resources page.

If a resident is covered under Medicare A and therapy stops do I have to do another MDS? Nursing also has no reason to keep them under medicare coverage.
