After months of development, we’re happy to announce our new Emergency Preparedness Solutions series, which we think you’ll like.

The highlight for me, because it’s something I’ve wanted to see us publish for a long time, is a collection of 80 paper patients that are customizable to your hospital’s drill or triage efforts.

These paper patients were developed by Mary Russell, EdD, MSN, who works at the Florida Department of Health’s Office of Public Health Preparedness as a senior hospital project manager.

You can download a sample paper patient by clicking here. As you’ll see, many of the patients include useful information such as:

• Temperature
• Blood pressure
• Heart rate
• Respiratory rate
• Pulse oximetry
• Capillary refill
• Name
• Age
• Chief complaint

Other patients are more generic versions, allowing you to test initial group sorting during triage.

Another product that’s part of Emergency Preparedness Solutions is our Emergency Operations Plan Template, which is an electronic, customizable tool that you can build your EOP off of or use to tweak an existing EOP.
