Pretty soon, there may be nobody left to sue

Remember John King, MD, the osteopathic surgeon whose partial loss of privileges at Putnam General Hospital in West Virginia in 2003 preceded 124 different malpractice suits being filed against him?

Seems like the legal community in West Virginia can’t forget him, either.

In an article aptly titled “King sues lawyer he hired to sue his previous lawyers,” the Charleston Gazette reports that King has now filed a $50 million dollar lawsuit against attorney Lance Rollo whom he claims is guilty of legal malpractice and breach of contract.

Rollo had previously represented King against three other law firms as well as the Hospital Corporation of America, which owned Putnam General when King was on staff.

The paper also reports that King has listed his mother’s home as his home address in court documents.

  1. Correction — I had the wrong dates regarding King’s time at Putnam General Hospital. My apologies — the correct date is up there now.
