Join us in San Antonio for the 8th Annual ACDIS Conference

The annual ACDIS conference is right around the corner. This year, we’re heading to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center‎ in San Antonio, TX on May 19-21, with pre-conference sessions on May 17-18.

Have you pitched attending the 2015 ACDIS conference in San Antonio to your boss yet? If not, we’ve put together a sample letter (see below) that you can use to start the conversation. Check out the information below to help modify the letter as necessary, and be sure to add in a few of the specific issues on which you hope to get information and help.

Attendees can choose from four tracks—Management and Leadership, Clinical and Coding, Quality and Regulatory Initiatives, and Innovative CDI—that include a diverse range of sessions for enhancing CDI programs.

More than a dozen physicians will present on the podium, along with special panel discussions and training sessions. This year, Donna Smith, RHIA, presents a general session, “Analyzing the Realistic Impact of ICD-10 on APR-DRGs.”

Break-out sessions include “Coding Clinic Update for CDI,” presented by James S. Kennedy, MD, CCS, CDIP; “Doc for Docs: Giving ’The Talk‘ to Physicians,” presented by Jonathan L. Elion, MD, FACC; and “CDI for Risk Adjustment Coding,” presented by Adele L. Towers, MD, MPH, FACP—to name a few.

Pre- and post-conference events will feature an ICD-10 CDI Boot Camp and a Physician Advisor program. There will also be an opportunity to take the CCDS exam after the conference.

Registration is $1,005 per person, with an early-bird discount of $905. ACDIS members can register for $905 per person, with an early-bird discount of $805. Register a team of four and the fifth member attends free.

There will also be two hotel options—the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and the San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk—where we are offering discounted room rates ($169 per night) for conference attendees.
