New article of the month: Complications of surgery

Hi ACDIS members, there’s been a lot of talk regarding complications of surgery during our quarterly conference calls. In response, we worked with Dr. Robert Gold of DCBA, Inc. and the ACDIS advisory board, and Mario Perez of J.A. Thomas & Associates, to bring you a new article of the month on the subject.

Please click here to view the article or visit our main page.

As a reminder, you can find an archive of previous articles of the month (as well as many other articles and links) on our helpful resources page.

Take care,

Brian

  1. Thank-you Mr. Murphy and Dr.Gold for the guidance. As a nurse and not a coder this subject matter has been quite confusing for me and your article is very timely- there have been several conversations between myself and the coders within the last few weeks. I have been very reluctant to educate the physicians as my understanding was foggy at best and also I was not sure how to address with them. Your words have pointed me in the right direction. We are also using this as a basis for our coding round table next week. I verymuch appreciate your words. It is also comforting to know we arenot alone on this one!
